It all began with a spark and a swipe. Misha and Vanessa's journey together started on Tinder, but Misha wasn't one for online small talk. With a straightforward approach, Misha said, "Let's cut to the chase and forget this Tinder stuff - let's just go for a date." Vanessa agreed, and so it began.

Our first meeting in Colorado Springs was more than just a date; it was the beginning of something new. Despite Vanessa being late, our bond was instant. Misha knew she was a keeper when Vanessa said, as we were walking on an icy sidewalk, “If I fall, please laugh at me”. After dinner, we spent 3-hours just talking to each other in the front seats of Vanessa’s Honda.

Something that has always brought us joy is our shared love for food, ranging from fast bites to haute cuisine (our first date was even underscored by Misha’s first experience with Ethiopian food). Whether it's savoring street food in a bustling market overseas or attempting to cook a Michelin meal at home (unsuccessfully most of the time), we cherish every culinary adventure we embark on together.

We have never wanted for adventure, as it always seems to find us wherever we go. Although we met and began our lives together in Colorado, our hearts took us to Atlanta where we have continued to grow as a couple: whether it be hiking with our dog Scout in the mountains, finding new jobs, exploring new cities, or fostering lifelong friendships.

As we continue building our life together, we know that we will always be able to share our love and appreciation for adventure, ambition, and above all else, each other.

This summer our adventure continues where our closest family and friends will come together to witness and celebrate our marriage.
